Enough!
That's it, enough. I am not an American, and I am sick and tired of hearing about patriotism and nationalism and the fourth of July, and it isn't even here yet, and it won't be for two days. I am going to go and buy black clothes, black lip stick, black nail polish, and some chains, and wear it all! I am going to embrace the anarchist within me! Of course, I have no expectations that anyone will appreciate any of it, but hey, I feel like expressing myself.

You're weird (no offense). I'm not the most patriotic person either even though my dad was in the army and i was born here. It takes the fourth of July or the song or talking about the declaration of Independence and the founding of the US or America The Beautiful to get me partiotic. I also thought that we weren't supposed to live by our feelings...but that might just be me.
If you are wanting to prove to the world that you are not American, maybe you get out a swastika or something and carry it around on the Fourth of July!
(I got really really really sick of patriotism and nationalism the last time i was in America too-several of the kids at my school seemed to think that America could do no wrong)
I am weird, I don't need people to tell me that. Jeffrey will agree with me I think, but I get less patriotic when in crowds of people singing those songs. I don't know why. Maybe I feel that there are enough people crazy about it, that my opinion really doesn't count, so I am as opposite as I can be just to be ornery. Two problems with carrying the swastica: I would get killed. Not a good plan. Second, I am against all forms of government, be they Nazism, Facism or Democracy. Democracy is the most tollerable of them, but still distasteful. Gun me down if you feel pangs of patriotism, just know that you won't have a lot of leverage: Yemen is full of religous warfaring hicks.

First of all, Independence Day is to celebrate our liberty under GOD, and to honor those who died to preserve that liberty. If you want to live in tyranny or anarchy, go live in Russia or Afghanistan!
Second, we are a Republic, not a Democracy! Our forefathers formed this nation to fight Democracy. If you wish to argue with this name one, just one, true Democracy that dose, or has ever existed and tell me how long it lasted. Democracy ALWAYS ends in tyranny or anarchy.
I am tempted to take a hand grenade or some of the other deadly weapons I have in my possession and BLOW YOUR REBELIOUS HEAD OFF! This, however, might reveal some vital information to my enemies.

I can promise you that Graham is not one of the people trying to bring the U.S. into socialism. The U.S. is not "under God" anymore, thanks to the "patriotic" Americans who seem to have the strange idea that church and state should be separated. I can also promise you that our forefathers did not form this nation to "fight democracy." There were no democracies in existence at the time when the U.S. came into existence, so it would therefore be foolish to create an entire nation just to fight them. As there have been no true democracies (a true democracy being defined by every person voting on every law), I do not see how it is even conceivable that anyone could name one that DID end in tyranny or anarchy. Unfortunately, the U.S. is too much of a democracy for its own good. The way it was originally designed was for about 5% of the people to vote, these being mostly responsible and well-educated people. Today however, since almost everyone over 18 can vote, politicians know that they can count on people caring more for their own good than the good of the state, and politicians act upon this knowledge by making laws that "give" constituents stuff, and not making laws that will keep the U.S. out of debt. It would be much better for the U.S. to stop allowing uneducated morons to vote, and making it more of a republic once again.
(oh, if you live in America, the so-called land of the free, I seriously doubt that you could get your hands on a grenade, whereas Graham, living in a land of oppression would have no problem with buying one, in fact he could even buy an AK-47, so i advise you to keep your lousy threats to yourself.

I think we have a slight misunderstanding when we speak of Democracy. The USSR started as a Democracy; the people were making the choices. But, as we now know, it ended in tyranny.
In my last entry I failed to mention something fairly vital in regards to "Under GOD." People today make a big deal about freedom, but we already have freedom. Freedom is the opposite of slavery; you can have freedom and still live in a tyranny. What you cannot have in a tyranny is liberty. Liberty means we have unalienable rights UNDER GOD. In a Democracy if 51% of the people voted no to freedom of speech, you would have no freedom of speech. In our constitutional republic if 51% of the people vote no to freedom of speech 5% can stand up and say, "You can't do that."
We still remain under GOD despite the efforts of the socialists. Granted, we are slipping, but it is up to us true patriots, with GOD's help, to save our country.

i wouldn't say the ussr started as a democracy. Lenin pretty much had control from the beginning. The only way to have freedom is if you are a Christian, so very few people actually have freedom. And, actually, it would take considerably more people to stop a constitutional amendment. The constitution is actually one of the places where the U.S. govenment is most like a democracy, because everyone can vote on an amendment. We have already slipped, and are no more under God than any other country of the world. Look at the public school system to see proof of this.

dudes this is hilarious i always find it funny when someone starts talking about a controversial issue in front of jeffrey especially if it has anything to do with americas government system. Also all the "Phantom" stuff is funnily stupid too. Graham you brought up a hilarious issue. (Even if you didn't mean to.)
This, my friend, is no laughing matter, and neither is my name regardless of what these "gentlemen" (and I use that term loosely) say.

that was completely unintentional. All I wanted to say was that I had had enough of other people telling me and *shiver shiver* sing to me about their own patriotism. I don't believe I need to stand to Jeffrey's defence, he has handled himself quite adiquitly. (that was no typo just in case you were wondering...)

Graham, you know it's funny. This year's fourth of july was probably my most patriotic. I went to a baseball game, drank a beer, and ate barbecue nachos (increeedible!). That was just for fun though. But it was during the citizenship swearing in ceremony directly after the game that I felt proud to be an American. That didn't mean that I sang all the songs, or change the words in them to make them say what I wanted them to say. It meant only that I was proud to be in this country where at least freedom is important to people. Granted, I was to some extent more free in Yemen, but in all honesty, I was really restricted there. The freedom that I did have came from my being American. Think about it. I could get away with so much more crap than my Yemeni friends could.
So I haven't found a free country yet, and the next place I'm moving is Communist, so we'll see how that goes.
But I do love America. And Yemen. And China now. Don't hate the country becuas it has faults, every country has them. Don't blindly hate. Hate educatedly (is that a word?)if you must hate at all. Which, you don't. We are told to love and be a light.
Now, before you attack, I'm not saying that you hate America or that you said you did. I did when I was in high school though, and that was really sad.

I used to hate america before I realized that home is where your friends are, and that part of my home was in america, and that I didn't hate america, but that I hated forign policy and the greater uninformed, uneducated, and generally microcephalic and, to use one of their terms, stupid, public, and the average teen with the standard twisted narrow world view. Don't worry about it though, chances are, if you are reading my blog you have a wider perspective than some of the imbicles I have met...
so but wait. . .you realize that by going out and buying all the black crap that you would be conforming to the average teen with standard twisted narrow world view? i mean, you'd be better off than the ones who don't hang out in hot topic. . .but not a whole lot.
Okay, let me set the record straight once and for all. Russia and the USSR have never been free. Not before communism, not after communism. America was founded as a Republic and that's the America I'm true to, not today's America where tax rates are high, we have government programs, and leaders that want to lead us into socialism and eventually communism. Church and State should deffanitely be seperated. That's what our forefather's wanted was freedom of religion. When you combine church and state you get the Middle Ages all over again. The only Americans that are under God are the ones who obey His Word. I cannot say that America is a free country because we have poor representation, government 'standards' for automobiles and toilets and etc, government schools, and (atleast when it comes to discussion about Islam) there is no freedom of speech. The government is a liar. And one day just like every other civilization in history, America will fall. As in be no more. Government collapsement. It'll be like the fall of Rome. I don't plan to do anything about the government either because it's never going to be Reformed. When America does fall, and when the Muslims do take over, it'll be the Homeschooling Christians that will stand up for liberty, truth, and God.
